Massage Therapy Educator (Teaching & Content Development)
Overview: The Massage Therapy Educator (Instruction & Content Development) is responsible for overseeing and teaching all courses in a cohort of our LMT program, managing student clinics, and ensuring lesson plans are well-developed and standardized for future use. This role requires a strong commitment to organization, student support, and curriculum development.The LMT program curriculum is already thoroughly outlined, with selected textbooks and additional resources. Instructors have access to publisher materials (question banks, slideshows, and more) and ABMP resources (5-Minute Muscles, Exam Coach, etc.). Two cohorts have already experienced the program, and syllabi are available—this is not a “from scratch” curriculum development role.The LMT Program Educator reports directly to the Program Director, who oversees curriculum implementation, instructor performance, and program continuity.While the ideal candidate will handle both teaching and content development, these roles may be separated if necessary, depending on qualifications and availability.
Key Responsibilities:Cohort Oversight
Maintain accurate records and organize student progress tracking.Arrange coverage for classroom instruction and clinic shifts as needed.Ensure instructional continuity by preparing detailed substitute lesson plans.Teaching & Clinic Management
Teach assigned courses following the provided curriculum.Supervise student clinics, including booking, managing feedback, handling front desk duties, and clinic setup/clean-up.Maintain the general cleanliness and organization of the classroom and clinic space.Lesson Plan Development
Prepare structured lesson plans and assessments using provided resources.Ensure that all materials are detailed enough for substitute instructors to use effectively.Eligible for additional compensation for developing standardized, high-quality lesson plans that the school retains for ongoing use.Student Support
Be available for one hour per week in designated office hours for student check-ins.Provide academic and professional guidance as needed.

Intellectual Property Agreement: All lesson plans and instructional materials created for the school remain the intellectual property of the instructor; however, the school retains perpetual rights to use and modify these materials for future cohorts.
Ideal Candidate:Licensed massage therapist with strong instructional and organizational skills.Experience teaching or developing curriculum preferred.Comfortable managing both classroom instruction and clinic logistics.Able to work independently while collaborating with the instructional team.Willing to develop high-quality lesson plans that will benefit future instructors and students.
